Korea Open: PV Sindhu advances to the finals

Indian shutler from Hyderabad, PV Sindhu (22), advanced to Korea Open final, after defeating China's He Bingjiao on Saturday.

Sindhu beat the sixth seeded Chinese He Bingjiao 21-10, 17-21, 21-16 in a match that lasted an hour and six minutes.

She will next play against Japan's Nozomi Okuhara on Sunday.

Olympic silver-medallist PV Sindhu has won the 2016 China Open Super Series Premier last year and clinched the India Open Super Series and Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold this season.

The duo played a famous 117-minute marathon match just weeks ago in the World Championships final.

Sindhu, seeded 4 th in the World, will have to defeat the eighth seed Okuhara, to win the trophy.

The Olympic bronze-medallist Japanese entered the final with a 21-17, 21-18 win over World No. 2 compatriot Akane Yamaguchi, seeded second.
