Concluding day of the Chrysanthemum Show witness a huge rush of Chandigarh residents

The 31st annual Chrysanthemum Show concluded on Sunday attracting big crowds of flower lovers from across the city. About 266 varieties of Chrysanthemum were displayed at the show this year, which was held at the Terraced Garden in Sector 33 in Chandigarh.

The three-day annual event which is also known as 'Chandigarh Flower Festival' takes place every year in the month of December.

Gardeners of the Horticulture Department, MC, this year have made boat, camel, peacock, cow, giraffe, lion and many other animals and birds using flowers.

During the programme, the chief guest Jitender Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, appealed to the citizens of Chandigarh to join hands with Municipal Corporation in the mega test o make their city number one in Swachh Survekshan-2018 and keep their city neat and clean. 

On the concluding day, Mr Yadav distributed prizes to the winners of various events organized during Chrysanthemum show along with the “Swachh Awards” under various categories.
