Panjab University: Gurbaani Impact Study Programme from May 9

Chandigarh: As part of the Major Research Project titled "Application of Teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Sahib in solving Human Problems of Modern Age", a four-day "Gurbaani Impact Study Programme" would be organized from May 9 at the Panjab University (PU) Campus.

The Principal Investigator of the Project and Chairperson Deptt. Guru Nanak Sikh Studies Prof. Jaspal Kaur Kaang is conducting the Programme with the co-operation of Sarb Rog Ka Aukhad Naam Mission, Chandigarh. The programme in the Morning Session would be organized from 8 AM to 11 AM and in the Evening Session from 5 PM to 8 PM daily from May 9 to May 12 at the Gurdwara Sahib, PU Campus.

Dr. Kaang said that she is strongly of the view that solution of all human problems lie in following the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib. She informed that proper guidance for meditating on 'Naam Simran' and understanding the meanings of Gurbaani will be given during the programme. Discourses and interaction will also be included and impact on
participants will be monitored and studied in case of each individual participant. She also informed that Experts from various fields such as Medicine, Psychology,Spirituality and Education and Welfare will be associated with the conduct of programme.

People residing in PU Campus and specially the students studying in Panjab University have shown their keen interest in joining the programme. More than one hundred participants are expected to join, Dr. Kaang informed.
