A molestation case has been registered against Sufi Singer Yash Wadali in Mumbai, by a 39-year-old woman, who alleged that the singer held her by the collar, manhandled and abused her at a private party.

The complainant said, she requested Yash Wadali to sing a song but it enraged the singer, who started shouting at her. In the anticipatory bail application Wadali said, the complaint is not just false but frivolous too. It has arisen due to personal vendetta and out of vengeance, he added.

Yash Wadali - original name was Yash Pal Singh - has been booked under IPC Sections 354 and 504 by Bangur Nagar police station.

No arrest has been made so far and further investigation is on. The singer will now be produced at the Dindoshi sessions court on Friday.
