NCB busts another illegal online drugs pharmacy

In less than a month, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted another illegal internet pharmacy, allegedly shipping drugs to overseas locations like the US and Canada and seized over 41,000  psychotropic tablet strips and over 2.4 kg of loose tablets.

The company was based in Delhi, at West Patel Nagar. It was allegedly sending drugs under the garb of auto parts and religious items.

"All the medicines are narcotic and psychotropic substances and the operators of the online store had no valid license to conduct business," the NCB Zonal Director told reporters.

As per officials, the orders were shipped through various courier companies without declaring their actual content.

Erlier this month, the NCB has busted an illegal Gurgaon-based online pharmacy that was allegedly shipping psychotropic medicinal tablets to the US and some European countries under the garb of 'herbal medicine'.

As per reports the bureau has recovered over 22,000 such tablets of psychotropic medicines like Diazapam, Zolpidam, Clonozapam, Alprazolam, Nitrezapam, Tramadol and others, officials said.  

During the raids the officials seiced 79 fake seals of various government agencies including, the Postal Department, Customs, insurance companies, banks, hospitals and phrama companies.
