Kishtwar: Pilgrims' vehicle skids of the road, 11 killed

Eleven people were killed after pilgrims vehicle carrying them to the Machail Mata temple, skidded of the road in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district.

The only survivor is a five-year-old child who was taken to the hospital and is undergoing the treatement. 

The accident took place on Monday morning."A vehicle carrying pilgrims to the Machail Mata temple rolled down and fell into the Chenab river, around 28 km from Kishtwar, in the Padder belt area today," Jammu and Kashmir DGP told reporters.

As per reports, this is a second accident in the area in last 24 hours. On Monday seven people, including a policeman were killed in another road accident.

As many as 12 others were injured after two vehicles came under a landslide in the district.
