Kurukshetra: bus falls from flyover; 40 injured

At least 40 people were injured on Monday after a Haryana Roadways bus fell from a flyover on the National Highway-1 near Dhantori village, Kurukshetra.

The bus was plying on the Chandigarh-Karnal route.As per reports, eleven passengers were admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Civil Hospital (LNJPCH), while 28 were being treated at Shahabad Markanda town.

As per hospital, most of the passengers suffered injuries on face and back.

The bus driver was rushed to the PGIMER, Chandigarh, with serious abdomen injuries.

Traffic on the NH-1 flyover was stopped for more than two hours and vehicles were routed through service lane.
